Hi folks! Happy new Year to all of you! Our team wish you the best in 2019, more users and less bugs 😉

Did you see the new Profile section in the Control Panel? If not, then give it a try. You will find a form there where you can subscribe for our newsletter. The newsletter will be sent only when we have something to tell you  – new releases, features, or important changes.

For those of you who are not yet registered – there is a checkbox for newsletter subscription in the registration form. So what are you waiting for – register now 😉

Note: If you are Gmail user – keep an eye to the Promotions tab. We do our best to deliver our newsletter into the Primary tab, but unfortunately this is something we don’t have full control of. In case you get our newsletter in the Promotions tab and you want it into the Primary, please ensure the following:

  • add [email protected] to your Address book;
  • move the newsletter to the Primary tab manually.

You don’t have to subscribe though. We’ll be always posting important stuff here in the blog, and if you are a good old RSS user – keeping track of our RSS feed will be enough for you to get informed.

IMPORTANT: Testing Pixo integration locally

When you are integrating Pixo into your product, you’ll want to test it first before it goes to production. There is a catch you need to know when you test with locally hosted images.

Editing remote images with Pixo

When you open Pixo with image url, it is very important that the image url:

  • belongs to the same domain or
  • is publicly accessible from the Internet

If none of the above are true, most probably you’re testing with images hosted on your local machine, or intranet. In this situation, make sure that your local or intranet server has CORS enabled. Otherwise image won’t be shown.

Hi devs,

We’re constantly extending Pixo with great features. We are posting in the blog every time when a new feature has been released. Keep an eye on the RSS feed so you get informed about the latest cool releases.

Here’s a list of what’s coming next. (Updated Sep 3, 2019)

✔ Ability to add frame to images

This feature will allow end users to wrap their images inside picture frames.

✔ Ability to set focus point

End users will be able to set the focus to specific area of the edited image and blur the rest of it.

✔ More image filters

People love filters. Currently we have some basic, we will enlarge our collection with more very soon. However, we will try to keep them up to 20. Having a great variety is good, but also too many choices may confuse the user. Sometimes having a limited choice is better than hundreds of options.

✔ API to provide custom stickers collection

Feature for you, devs! We are planning to provide you API to extend our base collection of stickers with your own, as well as filter it, or completely replace it.

✔ Ability to apply shape to images

API to provide custom filters

Another feature for you, devs! We will let you implement your own image filters, so you can extend the base collection, or completely replace it!

Load Pixo into your preferred language!

API for batch editing

Pass list of images to Pixo for batch editing; the user will edit the first one, and Pixo will apply the changes to all!

Transformation tools

Flip & rotate images

We’ve been too busy to optimize Pixo to run more smoothly on slower systems, such as old smartphones. That’s the reason why we froze releases of new features. It’s great that Pixo now runs smoothly even on iPhone 6, but that’s not the aim of this post.

We’re happy to announce that we just extended the image editor with image transformation tools, such as flip & rotate. Give them a ride!

More features are about to come very soon. One of them is free drawing over the image.

Pixo is now in WordPress!

Hello devs,

A WordPress plugin that integrates Pixo was just released. With this plugin you can edit your Media images with Pixo instead of the default built-in image editor. Pixo allows you to do much more with your images.

The plugin is compatible with WordPress version 4+ and php 5.2+ (both dating for quite long).

Screen Shot of Stickers filtering functionalityHey there Pixo users! We are more than happy to announce the release of a new cool feature of our image editor – the stickers! They are already available into your Pixo integration.

Pixo now offers more than 100 stickers. They can be easily browsed thanks to the filtering functionality.

More stickers are about to come! We will constantly update the collection, so your users are always happy. Just make sure that you follow our blog so you get informed immediately when something cool is out!
